Hand spun & Hand Dye yarns

This beautiful yarns are hand dyed by Denise Morrison from Big Lake Alaska and they are sold exclusively at Knitting Grounds in Anchorage. The yarn is Fulkland Superwash 1lb aprox 1.330 yards for $90.00 plus shipping if out side Anchorage Alaska. It is soft, soft, soft great for shawls, sweater, hats, mittens. Stop by and take a look at Blue Teal, Orion nebula Purple, Orchid Pink, Sun Flower,Dark Purple. My little sister Shohreh is getting married 08.08.08 That's a pretty cool date, We are calling it Moebius date. When she announce it to me my friend Celestina and I said Why no this Aug.07.07.07 and she reply because of the infinity symbol and instantly we thought of moebius (A Treasury of Magical Knitting) .

She and her poodle Abril are engaged to a wonderful man and family Justin, Madison and Cannen and Mojo the Lab. They are a wonderful addition to our family



Driving back to Anchorage from Wasilla Saturday at about 12:00 am. Yes midnight!
The Orange Beret was made by my dear friend Roxy she crocheted and felted. She used 3 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Baby Melange in sport weight.
This pattern is available exclusively at Knitting Grounds in Anchorage Alaska. Difficulty Level is Easy. I wore this beret most of the winter specially on windy days it kept my head and ears very warm. Felted baby alpaca is DIVINE!
The Green hat is a Hat that Grandma De made out of Malabrigo yarn it is a very soft Merino wool kettle dye from Uruguay it is what i call a "lana delisiosa" the pattern is called the Wedgie Scarf and for the hat Granma decided to makeup a matching hat using the same pattern stitches The 2 tone ruffle scarf I made with Blue Sky Alpaca sport pattern by Mac & Me also available at Knitting Grounds.


The gray sweater is from Louisa Harding collection, hand knitted for Sonia (mother in law) in Cochambamba Bolivia, South America. Sonia made the vest out of the Book "Fitted Knits"using "Tonalita" from Trendseters yarns.


Saturday after Nikki and Steve's wedding, John and I drove to Wasilla about one hour north of Anchorage Alaska to my mother in law's beautiful place on a lake.

She( my mother in law)recently found a bird's nest inside one of the begonia baskets while watering the plants, one day there was 1 egg couple of hours latter there were 2 eggs and now there are 4 eggs, we are very excited for this family.
